Logitech Shareholder Proposes Alternative Candidate for Chairperson Role
Daniel Borel, Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Logitech International S.A., has issued an open letter to Logitech shareholders proposing an alternative candidate for the Chairperson role. Borel believes it is crucial for shareholders to have a say in the choice of the Chairperson, rather than simply rubber-stamping the Board’s sole candidate. Borel has put forward Mr. Guy Gecht, a member of the board of directors for the past five years, as a suitable candidate who can provide the stability the company needs. Borel highlights that Gecht has the necessary knowledge of the high-tech industry. Borel also clarifies certain points mentioned in Logitech’s proxy statement, stating that the company’s disclosures omit material facts and contain significant inaccuracies. He asserts that Gecht’s indication of not accepting the Chairperson role at the upcoming annual general meeting (AGM) was made under pressure from the company. Borel urges shareholders not to give up on their right to elect the Board’s Chairperson and emphasizes the importance of forming their own opinion. Logitech has not responded to Borel’s letter at this time.
